From time to time, we may promote, endorse, or suggest commercial services or products. Recommendations are based on previous positive experience and/or a belief the provider, service, or product, will be valuable to aligned clients. IM may be compensated if you purchase a service or product based on our recommendation, or we may receive the service or product for free for review purposes.  Always do your own due-diligence before making any purchases, and never purchase anything you cannot reasonably review, inspect, or afford.

Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances will we be held responsible or liable for loss or damage of any kind caused, or alleged to be caused, to you or a related party in connection with you or your use of any service or product you receive directly or indirectly from us; commercial coaches, advisors, services, or products we recommend; guest speakers, writers, or authors on our website or at one of our events; or any individual intentionally or unintentionally associated with our products or communications (or display their photo, name, or biography on our website or in our marketing materials).

Warranty Information

The services and products on this site are provided “as is” and without warranty or guarantee of any kind, either expressed or implied.  We disclaim all warranties, including, but not limited to, implied effectiveness of the services and products listed on this site, and those listed or discussed in any communications.

Neither we, nor any of our respective service-providers, licencors, or suppliers warrant that any functions contained in the websites will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that websites or servers that make them available are free of viruses or other harmful components.

Neither we nor any of our respective licencors or suppliers warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the services or products, in terms of their correctness, accuracy, reliability, or otherwise. Applicable law may not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.

Fees and Payment

Fees are charged hourly or daily, as arranged in advance.  A minimum one hour fee is charged for calls and video conferences.  In person meetings, are a minimum of 90 billable minutes. Travel time is billed for any meetings shorter than one hour. Expenses are billed for any uncommon preparation, as well as for exercises, tools, and internal or external services or products as necessary,

As consideration for any service or product purchase you make on our websites or through our communications, you shall pay all applicable fees and taxes. We (or our third-party payment processor) shall authorize your credit card, PayPal account, bank account, or other approved payment facility you provided during the registration process or in the course of our interactions, for full payment of fees and any applicable taxes, and you hereby consent to the same.

If the mailing address you provided us is in the United States, all payments will be charged and made in U.S. dollars. If the mailing address you provided us is outside the United States or any of its possessions or territories, all payments will be charged and made in your local currency, at the current conversion rate.

All products, programs, events and services are priced in U.S. dollars.

You must provide current, complete, and accurate billing and credit card information. You must also promptly update all billing information (billing address, card number, expiration date, etc.) to keep your account current, complete, and accurate, and you must promptly contact us if your credit card is lost or stolen, or if you become aware of a potential breach of account security (such as an unauthorized disclosure or use of your identity, information, sign-in name or password) otherwise your account and access to IM or any other service or product you purchase will be suspended.

You hereby authorize IM to obtain or determine updated or replacement expiration dates for your credit card in the event the credit card you provided us expires. We (or our third-party payment processor) reserve the right to charge any renewal card issued to you to the same extent as the expired card.

If payment is not received from your credit card issuer, you hereby agree to pay all amounts due upon demand. You also agree to pay all costs of collection, including attorney’s fees and costs, on any outstanding balance. In certain instances, the issuer of your credit card may charge you a foreign transaction fee or related charges, which you will be responsible to pay. You are advised to check with your bank and credit card issuer for details.

Our Refund Policy

We abide by and to a strict no-refunds policy when purchasing any service or product from or through IM, unless specified expressly in writing.

You may cancel a client session or meeting 48 hours or more in advance, and will not be required to pay, as long as no preparation, exercises, tools, or internal or external services or products were needed or had to be purchased, in which case, you will be charged in full for costs related to any such preparation, services, or products related to your pre-arranged and/or scheduled services or products.

Intrinsic Matters has the right to reduce the fee for postponed sessions or meetings to 50% of the agreed fee, in special circumstances, with the prior approval of the IM Managing Director.

Privacy Policy

Intrinsic Matters (herein IM)* is committed to protecting the privacy of information and confidentiality entrusted to it.  As part of this commitment, IM is dedicated to the appropriate and reasonable protection and use of personal information (aka, “personally identifiable information” or “PII”) collected by or provided to us through our website, and other online and mobile services.

Please review our Privacy Statement to learn how we collect, use, share and protect the PII we obtain.  By using our online services, you consent to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Statement, now and as amended by us.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

We and our service providers collect information you provide when you use our online services.  That is, when you register, we may collect basic information about you (name, email address, phone number, and other personal and business demographic or contact information. Additionally, you may provide us with your resume, cover letter, or employment information in connection with our work or an application for employment. In many cases, you may have previously provided your information to us (i.e. former client).

We use the information we collect and receive from you to provide you with online services; communicate with you; operate, maintain, and enhance online services; and fulfill your requests. You may send us an email requesting information about IM, and we will use your email address and information you supply to respond to your request. If you send us a resume or curriculum vitae (CV), we will use the information you provide in the course of our work or to match you with available opportunities. Your personal information is not used for other purposes, unless we obtain your permission, or unless required or permitted by law or professional standards.

IM only collects “sensitive” personal information (race, ethnicity, political beliefs, trade union membership, religious or similar beliefs, physical or mental health, sexual life or criminal record) when relevant individuals voluntarily provide us this information or where such information is required or permitted to be collected by law or professional standards. Automatic Collection of Personal Information

IM uses cookies, web beacons, Google Analytics, and other technology to automatically collect certain types of information when you use our online services and through emails we exchange. The collection of this information allows us to customize and eventually improve the online experience, performance, usability, and effectiveness of our online programs, services, and tools.


IP Addresses

An IP address is a number assigned to your computer or internet-enabled device whenever you access the internet. It allows computers and servers to recognize and communicate with one another. IP addresses from which visitors appear to originate may be recorded for IT security and system diagnostic purposes. This information may also be used in aggregate form to maintain and improve the Online Services and to generate and analyze statistics about the Online Services and your use of the Online Services.

Use of Cookies

Cookies may be placed on your computer or internet-enabled device when you visit our online services. This allows us to remember your computer or device and serves several purposes (performance, security, site preferences, analytics, visitor feedback, social sharing, etc.). A notification banner may appear requiring your consent to collect cookies. If you do not provide consent, your computer or internet-enabled device will not be tracked. A secondary type of cookie (“user-input” cookies) may be required for full functionality, and such cookies will not be blocked via of this banner. Your selection will be saved in a cookie and is valid for a certain period of days (to revoke your selection, do so by clearing your browser’s cookies).

Most browsers automatically accept cookies, although you may be able to choose whether or not to accept cookies through your browser’s settings (usually found in your browser’s tools or preferences). You may also be able to delete cookies from your device.  Third party tools and widgets may be used on our individual web pages and online services to provide additional functionality. Use of these tools and widgets may place a cookie on your device to improve the ease of use of their service, and ensure proper display of your interaction.

Do Not Track

IM online services may not recognize browser-based Do Not Track signals. As discussed above under “Cookies,” you may be able to modify your browser settings to block cookies, or “third-party” cookies. Cookies on our online services are considered “first-party” cookies. Details on your ability to restrict or change personal information we may collect about you, are listed under the Choice and Access sections of this statement.

Usage Analytics

We use several third party usage analytics tools including Google Analytics. Information about how Google Analytics is used by IM can be found at: http://www.google.com/analytics/learn/privacy.html

Google has developed the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to provide website visitors with more choice on how their data is collected by Google Analytics. This add-on communicates with Google Analytics JavaScript to indicate information about the specific website visit should not be sent to Google Analytics. The Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on does not prevent information from being sent to online services or to other analytics services.

Web Beacon Image Files

A web beacon is a image file on a web page used to collect specific information from your computer, such as an IP address, the time content was viewed, a browser type, and existence of cookies set previously by the same server, and are only used in accordance with applicable laws.

We and our service providers may use web beacons to track effectiveness of third party web sites providing us with recruiting or marketing services and/or gather aggregate visitor statistics and manage cookies.

You may render some web beacons unusable by rejecting their associated cookies, although the web beacon may still record an anonymous visit from your IP address; however, cookie information will not be recorded.

With newsletters and communications, we may monitor recipient actions, such as email open rates through embedded links within messages. We collect this information to gauge user interest and improve our service.

Geographic Based Tools

IM may collect and use the geographical location of your computer or mobile device only with your express consent.  With respect to collection of precise location information, once you consent to the collection you may adjust this consent by managing your Location Services preferences in the settings of your mobile device.  Location data will only be collected for the purpose of providing you with information regarding services we believe may be of interest to you based on your geographic location, and to improve our location-based products and services.

Social Media Widgets / Applications

Online services may include functionality for sharing of third party social media applications (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) or allow you to use a social media identity to log into our services, events, or contests, where you have the option to do so.  These social media applications may collect and use information regarding your use of our online services (details on ‘Social Sharing’ cookies above). Be aware, certain personal information you provide via social media applications may be collected and used by members of that social media application, and such interactions are governed by the privacy policies of the companies which provide the application. We do not have control over, or responsibility for, those companies or their use of your information. They may also host blogs, forums, crowd-sourcing and other applications or services (aka, “social media features”). The purpose of these features is to facilitate the sharing of knowledge and content. Any personal information you provide on any IM social media feature may be shared with users of that feature (unless otherwise stated at the point of collection), over whom we may have limited or no control.

Child Engagement and IM

IM understands the importance of protecting children’s privacy, especially in an online environment.  Our online services are not designed for or directed at children under the age of 14.  It is our policy to never knowingly collect or maintain information about anyone under the age of 14, except as part of an professional engagement to provide professional services.

Sharing and Transfer of PII

IM does not share your personal information with unaffiliated third parties, except as stated in this Privacy Statement, including as necessary for our legitimate professional and business needs, to carry out your requests, to market our services, as required or permitted by law or professional standards, or otherwise with your consent.

We may share PII with various third-party service providers and vendors working on our behalf. These third parties include providers of administrative, identity management, website hosting, data analysis, data back-up and security management services. IM requires such entities to safeguard PII at the level of our privacy policy. 

As required by law, we may disclose PII in response to lawful requests of government or law enforcement agencies (to meet national security or law enforcement requirements or where disclosure is required by applicable laws, court orders, or government regulations). In the event ownership of IM or an affiliate or their assets changes as the result of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information owned or controlled by IM may be transferred to another company. Information may also be shared in connection with the consideration, negotiation, or completion of a corporate transaction in which we are acquired by or merged with another company or we sell, liquidate, assign or transfer all or a portion of our assets. These disclosures may also be needed for data privacy or security audits and/or to investigate or respond to a complaint or security threat. IM does not sell PII to any third parties, and will not transfer the PII you provide to any third parties for their own direct marketing use.

We and our service providers may use personal information in an aggregated, anonymized form for research and development. This data does not identify you individually, but helps us to identify trends in user preferences and behaviors.  In addition, we may share de-identified reports on user demographics and traffic patterns, as well as de-identified information, with third parties.

Cross Border Information Transfer

IM may transfer certain PII across geographical borders to partner firms or outside companies working with us or on our behalf.  We may store PII in a jurisdiction other than where you are based and such jurisdiction may not provide the same level of protection for your personal information as your home country. By providing your information to us, you are consenting to this transfer and/or storage of your information across borders.

Communication Choices

We may require you to provide certain PII in order for you to receive additional information about our services and events. IM may ask for your permission for specific uses of your PII, and you can agree to or decline those uses. If you opt-in for particular services or communications, such as an e-newsletter, you will be able to unsubscribe at any time by simply following the instructions included in each communication. If you decide to unsubscribe from a service or communication, we will try to remove your information promptly, although we may require additional information before we can process your request.

Personal Information Access

If you have submitted personal information to us, under most circumstances you have the right to reasonable access to this data to correct inaccuracies. You can make a request to update or remove information about yourself, and we will make reasonable and practical efforts to comply with your request, as long as it is consistent with applicable law and professional standards. We require our service providers to have security policies and procedures in place to help protect personal information from unauthorized loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. Despite our efforts, security cannot be guaranteed against all threats. We seek to limit access to your personal information to those who have a need or legal right to know. Those individuals who have access to this data are required to maintain confidentiality of this information. We make efforts to retain personal information only as long as the information is needed for professional, marketing or analytic purposes, to comply with an individual’s request, or until the person asks for the information to be deleted.

EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Frameworks
